WOODLAND & WILD GARDEN BULBS
Snowdrops: Single flowered Nivalis, grown and harvested under controlled conditions to protect them in the wild. Snowdrops flourish best in cool places where the soil never quite dries out. In our view snowdrops are better planted "in the green" in the early spring. Click here for full details. |

Aconites: Winter Aconites, the earliest of them all. Aconites spread naturally, and provide a welcoming first glimpse of spring. Try them in a seed-tray to start with. When they show, transplant to their final position. |

English Bluebells: Grown under controlled conditions to protect bluebells in the wild, the Scilla non-Scripta has become quite expensive. Bluebells do well in damp and shady spots, particularly in wooded areas. They can also be planted "in the green" in the spring. Click here for details. |

Anemones Blanda: also known as Wood Anemones, or Grecian Anemones. Short, daisy-like flowers that flower in the early spring. They look charming under trees, and can make useful clumps. We find that white Blanda does particularly well. Blandas will also form drifts over a period of time. Soak in water before planting. |
